Today we visited Kukeldash madrasah with my cousemates .  In Bukhara , near the famous historical complex Lyabi-hauz the well known architectural monument Kukeldash madrasah is located. It was built in 1568 - 1569 during the reign of Abdulla Khan second and was founded by Bukhara governor Kulbaba who ruled the city under several Khans and managed to maintain good relations with all of them.  For this close relationship with Khans the governor was given the title Kukeldash ; which of the highest standings in the Khans court and meant " a milk brother " . Later the madrasah named after him . Many people believe that Kukeldash madrasah is a part of the Lyabi-hauz complex but that is wrong . It was proved by historical excavation and  Kukeldash madrasah was also unique building of its time in terms of architecture. Virtually all the madrasahs then had the similar design of a solid rectangle with a large decorated portal and courtyard . Kukeldash madrasah has no solid walls ....

We visited one of the most beautiful destinations in our country , it is called Minorai Kalon which is conviniently located in the historical part of the Bukhara It was built by a local architect named Bako.  His name is immortalized on the top ledge of the minaret. There is a legend about its construction. At differnt times the minaret served for different purposes .  The main one was religious - to call the faithful muslims to prayer. It was also used to punish people.  So it was called Tower of the death. It was very nice practical lesson , given that we learnt and gained an ample amount of thing . It can help us to speak well with the tourists . I really liked it.

Trip to Mir-i-arab madrasah. Today we visited to Mir-i-Arab madrasah with my coursemates and our practical teacher Matluba Axmedovna 😊 The Miri-Arab madrasah is one of the constructions on the well-known "Poi-Kolyan" Bukhara square. It emerged in the 16th century (about 1536) by the decree of Ubaidullah Khan emir in honor of the famous Islamic theologian Abdullah of Yemen. As Sayid Abdullah himself bequeathed, he was buried in this madrasah under one of the domes. There are two big blue domes of the Miri-Arab madrasah towering above the surrounding buildings in the center of Bukhara. Along with the Kalyan mosque and minaret, this religious educational establishment forms the whole ensemble Poi-Kalyan that is the spiritual center of the city. The madrasah was a prestigious educational institution at the time, one of the graduates was Ahmad Kadyrov, the first president of the Chechen Republic, as well as Ahmad Donish of Bukhara, the famous statesman and thinker, who left beh...

Today we went to Sitorai Mohi Hosa with my coursemates. Now I am going to give some information about this building😉....  Sitorai-Mohi Hosa Palace(translated from Persian as the star and the moon of Khan) was built in XIX - XX centuries by father of the last Emir Ahadhan.   The new complex of garden pavilions was built to the east of the residence Ahadhan. It is a large garden area of 6.7 hectares with fruit orchards. There are two sculptures of marble lions at the entrance to the palace. Colorful mosaic patterns adorn the main entrance to the palace, which is uncharacteristic of the local architecture. Blue and green colors are dominated in the decoration of the interior.   Palace Sitora-Mohi-Hosa consists of three main parts: the entrance, outside courtyard - for men and inside courtyard - for women. The walls of the palace are surrounded by a wide area. There is a small body of water in the centre of the palace.

Today we visited to Toki saraffon with my coursemates. Now I am going to give some information about Toki Saraffon. Fast beside the Lyabi-Khauz there stands a dome with a cross-road running under it. Small shops are scattered around it. Once there located one of the largest currency exchanges of Central Asia: merchants from India, China and other countries change their money from money-changers, named the sarrafs. The name of the trading dome originated from them. But several centuries later one can only buy carpets, kerchiefs and other souvenirs here. Telpak Furushon Trading Dome A little to the north from Toki-Sarrofon there located the large Telpak Furushon Trading Dome. This is a massive complex having a hexagonal orientation. Under its spherical dome there concentrate shops selling knives, jewelries, music instruments and various remembrances. Next to it there is a medieval blacksmith shop, where one can watch a process of manufacturing knives and other tools. Once the shops w...
